As part of Optum360, the Vendor Portfolio and Operations Associate Director will be responsible for the direct interface with and engagement of multiple new and existing end-to-end revenue cycle management clients. This role will have leadership responsibilities for driving positive results from Optum360's vendors and ensuring optimal operational integration.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead different teams under Optum360's Vendor Management responsibilities
  • Help drive Vendor Management strategy and integration into the Optum360 operations model
  • Ensure that Vendor Management and Operations are working in harmony together
  • Manage Vendor performance
  • Review products and services provided by each vendor; suggest appropriate transition/integration approach and work with client to effect the transition
  • Review vendor contracts as necessary to determine any impacts on assignment, termination or other critical legal and business terms
  • Review contract labor resources and transition approach with new end-to-end revenue cycle management clients
  • Provide leadership to and be accountable for the performance and direction through multiple layers of management and senior level professional staff
  • Partner with business users to assure needs are being satisfied
  • Complete annual review on process flows, playbook and related job aids

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise
  • 6+ years of demonstrated procurement, finance, project management or operations management experience in the healthcare revenue cycle arena or other similar senior management roles in a similarly complex environment
  • Experience managing virtual teams
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, proven ability to influence and negotiate complex and matrix reporting relationships
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Proven ability to create and implement project plans
  • Intermediate MS Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Demonstrated passion and commitment to positive and effective customer service and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years working in healthcare finance or revenue cycle arena
