The Lead Automation Equipment Services and Technology is responsible for the Preventative Maintenance plans, spare parts inventory and the completion of work orders within the CMMS program. The Automation Lead is responsible for the advancement of skill sets within his direct reports. As Subject Matter Expert in optimizing production throughput using best - in - class maintenance practices, the Automation Lead is responsible for the efficiency of identifying root cause of equipment failures through completion of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and technical troubleshooting of his direct reports. Candidate will also take part in or lead any assigned training or process improvement projects. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Install, setup, troubleshoot, and maintain various mail order pharmacy equipment and prototyping/testing new improvement projects.
  • Ability to troubleshoot / repair / replace faulty electrical components such as: Motors, relays, switches, servos, VFD, and other sensing devices.
  • Experience with control logic such as Allen - Bradley / Rockwell Software PLC, HMI, RSLogic500 / 5000, and Studio 5000. Beckhoff PLC experience is a plus.
  • Experience with PLC devices, control networks, and software application.
  • Able to read / interpret electrical mechanical drawing.
  • Effectively maintain programming, troubleshoot, determine root causes of failure and perform corrective actions.
  • Responsible to maintain and repair all of the automation dispensing equipment to operate at optimum throughput and minimum downtime. 
  • In charge of the implementation of Preventative / Predictive / Corrective maintenance program. 
  • Create new PM procedure/checklist for all automation dispensing equipment.
  • Maintain and track records on all PMs, and maintenance work orders.
  • Experience with CMMS program. eMaint CMMS is a plus.
  • Ensure to maintain adequate inventories of spare parts, tools and supplies to support production equipment.
  • Directing daily maintenance activities, establish work schedule and provide proper training to Automation Equipment Services personnel.
  • Take steps to maintain team spirit, morale and motivate maintenance personnel.
  • Develop goals and set performance expectation for Automation Equipment Service team.
  • Must be able to prioritize projects / tasks to meet production daily goals. Routinely perform spot check work performed to ensure quality craftsmanship.
  • Proficient with problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven competency in supervisory activities which require conflict management, developing subordinates, directing subordinates, managing and measuring performance, motivating, build team spirit and moral.
  • Work in collaboration with Engineering, production leadership on all equipment related issues.
  • Report to upper management on equipment condition and status as necessary.
  • Comply with safety regulation and maintain clean and orderly work areas

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 2+ years’ experience with maintenance troubleshooting using PLC tool and data sets.
  • 5+ years of experience in the repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of an automated manufacturing or distribution line.
  • 3+ years of leading team experiences.
  • 5+ years with electromechanical maintenance experience within industrial, manufacturing, or automated fulfillment center industries.
  • Experience with 3 - phase 480 volts industrial electrical systems, electrical wiring, electrical conduit and motor control circuits.
  • Experience programming and debugging PLC controlled automation.
