About the Job

This position is critical to ensure delivery of management plans and supporting documentation for IT systems and related applications. Positions in this function are responsible for working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to prepare new or changes to existing Policies, SOPs, and creating technical documents and manuals. Must be able to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate business requirements and prepare the detailed functional and technical documentation that follow project guidelines
  • Work closely with SMEs to ensure documentation and processes are complete and align to requirements
  • Work closely with SMEs to strategize deliverable solutions that support long term business objectives
  • Ensure deliverables align with business requirements with measurable results
  • Facilitates the timely development, change, review and approval of documentation
  • Organize and write supporting documents for products
  • Standardize content across platforms and media
  • Creates, writes and edits high quality copy using corporate and department style guidelines
  • Revise documents from customer, SME, and stakeholder feedback and as new issues arise
  • Plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational procedures and manuals
  • Producing high-quality documentation that is appropriate for its intended audience
  • Manage updates and revisions to technical documentation
  • Assists with activities required for maintenance and delivery of documentation
  • Assists in improving existing documentation management practices


Required Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • High-level prioritization and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong interest in technology
  • Ability to deliver high quality system documentation paying attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
  • Excellent written skills in English
  • Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
  • Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree, Associates Degree, or equivalent work experience
  • IT system support experience
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Familiarity with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
