This position is essential to the Reimbursement department.  It is the responsibility of this individual to provide administrative and clerical support to the Reimbursement staff to ensure efficient operation, and ensure confidentiality of all patient accounts by following HIPAA guidelines.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Handle incoming and outgoing calls
  • Process credit card payments over the phone
  • Respond to patient questions and concerns in a professional and respectful manner
  • Process manual adjustments
  • Reconcile billing errors
  • Reconcile incorrect address
  • Assist in overflow/aging AR as necessary
  • Assist with client related requests: medical records, DX codes, patient billing information
  • Clerical backup
  • Itemized receipt creation
  • Basic computer skills including MS applications
  • Organizational and planning
  • Time management and the ability to prioritize work
  • Data management

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma / GED
  • Experience in a professional office setting
  • Microsoft Excel skills (create, sort, and edit data in spreadsheets, utilize functions and formulas)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with medical billing and / or insurance collections preferred
  • Bilingual – Spanish Speaking a Plus

  • Must be flexible, able to effectively multi - task, and work effectively in a fast - paced, high volume work environment, dependable and possess the ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
  • Demonstrate strong computer and analytical skills while providing customer support over the phone, prioritization of tasks, and time management skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills required
